MÄHREN AG acquires 480 rental units in Q2 2021 and invests a total of around EUR 100 million

  • Transactions of more than EUR 134 million in H1

Berlin, July 13, 2021. MÄHREN AG, a nationwide portfolio holder with a long-term orientation and a focus on residential real estate, is acquiring numerous residential properties in Berlin in Q2 2021. Among them is a portfolio of three residential complexes comprising 345 residential and commercial units on a total of around 29,000 square metres of usable space. The properties are located in the popular Berlin districts of Kreuzberg (Moritzplatz), Neukölln (Schillerkiez) and Wedding (Antonkiez). The company is also acquiring another residential complex in the Neukölln district of Berlin with just under 100 residential units.

MÄHREN AG has succeeded in further expanding its portfolio in the capital thanks to its excellent market penetration as well as its outstanding and long-standing business relationships and market knowledge. In total, the company has already been able to conclude transactions for around EUR 134 million throughout Germany in H1 2021 and has thus already reached the total transaction level of the previous year. Further purchases are about to be signed and are in preparation.
“As a company with a long-term focus, we are very interested in how Berlin develops in the future, as well as in a smooth working relationship between tenants and landlords. We were able to quickly conclude agreements to forestall the pre-emption rights for our properties as a result of productive cooperation with the municipal authorities. This provides additional security for existing leases”, says Mähren.
