How much richer are home owners
That home owners have more wealth than tenants sounds kind of logical. Just how great the difference is, according to an ECB study in 2020, still comes as a bit of a surprise.
Six times as much! In figures: 6 times greater is the wealth of owners compared with tenants in Eurozone countries. Why is that? On the one hand, higher income earners tend to be those who buy residential property. On the other hand, this comparison shows in an impressive manner just how ideally suited home ownership is for generating wealth.
