MÄHREN AG boosts transaction volume to more than 91 million euros

Acquisition of altogether 397 residential units for about 34 million euros in Berlin, Frankfurt an der Oder, Leipzig and Magdeburg
Sale of a portfolio for about 43.8 million euros
Berlin, August 30, 2018. MÄHREN AG, a long-term oriented portfolio holder with a focus on residential properties, boosted this year’s transaction volume to more than 91 million euros. An acquisition for about 34 million euros has now added altogether 397 residential units with a total space of more than 30,000 square meters to the portfolio of the Berlin-based housing company. Five of the acquired multi-family houses are located in the federal capital (Charlottenburg, Mariendorf, Reinickendorf, Wedding) and one on the outskirts of Berlin. In addition, two further multi-family houses were acquired in Leipzig and one in Magdeburg. Also acquired was a residential portfolio in Frankfurt an der Oder.

No sign of the summer-time blues in our company. And our acquisition pipeline remains full to the brim, so that we anticipate a strong closing quarter 2018.

Back in Q1 2018, MÄHREN AG acquired five residential properties for about 13.5 million euros. This raised the acquisition volume in this year alone to about 47.5 million euros. MÄHREN AG also recently sold a portfolio for about 43.8 million euros.


MÄHREN AG is an owner-managed housing company based in Berlin. The company was founded by CEO Jakob Mähren in 2002. As a long-term oriented portfolio holder, MÄHREN AG buys mainly residential properties throughout Germany with a focus on the Berlin metropolitan region, the Rhine-Ruhr region, Eastern German medium-sized centers and Northern Germany. In the past three years, the company closed deals worth more than a billion euros. Right from the start, the portfolio of residential and commercial space owned has been consistently expanding, standing today at more than 2,000 units.
