MÄHREN AG acquires rental properties and sites for 25.8 million euros

Three sites on the outskirts of Berlin for multi-floor apartment new builds purchased
Five rental properties acquired; five more acquisitions envisaged by the end of 2018
Berlin, December 13, 2018. MÄHREN AG, a long-term oriented portfolio holder with a focus on residential properties, has completed acquisitions worth 25.8 million euros. Of these, four rental properties are in Berlin and one in Magdeburg, with three sites on the outskirts of Berlin. By the end of 2018, MÄHREN AG plans to have completed the acquisition of five more rental properties. The notary appointments are already in the calendar.

We acquire residential and commercial properties in German conurbations. In future, we will be focusing more on acquiring sites for new builds in and around Berlin.

“The outskirts of Berlin are interesting for multi-floor apartment new builds, as many Berliners are looking to move there because of the lower rents and property prices,” says Mähren. The acquired sites are in the centers of Königs Wusterhausen, Werder and Geltow. Here, altogether approximately 100 apartments are to be built.

The acquired Berlin rental properties are located in Reinickendorf, Neukölln, Mitte and Wedding. This increases the portfolio of the housing company by altogether 211 units and 13,718 square meters of total space. “Despite the tight market, we have a very good acquisition pipeline. Our network and our depth of market knowledge still enable us to acquire attractive buildings,” explains Jakob Mähren, CEO MÄHREN AG. “In addition, the strategy of expanding investments to other cities such as Magdeburg, Leipzig and Dresden has proven to be the right one,” says Mähren.
