2017 total investment volume rises to about 170 million euros
Berlin, September 12, 2017. MÄHREN AG, a long-term oriented portfolio holder with a focus on residential properties, has invested in an office and retail property in Berlin City-West acquired as a share deal. It was agreed to keep the purchase price of the core-plus property in very close proximity to Kurfürstendamm confidential.

The Berlin office market is attractive. This is shown by the constantly rising rents and the likewise constantly falling vacancy levels. We have above average expertise in our home market and will now also be applying this increasingly to the Berlin commercial property market.

The fully-let multi-tenant building has a total rental space of more than 5,000 square meters. The broadly diversified tenant pool includes real estate companies, an insurance company and tax consultants. Modernization measures and floor plan optimization of the currently in the main simply appointed building offer medium-term potential for value creation.

2017 total investment volume rises to about 170 million euros
This year, 2017, MÄHREN AG has already expanded its portfolio by altogether ten apartment buildings in Berlin, Dresden and Magdeburg with altogether 311 residential units for about 31 million euros. In addition, a residential portfolio was acquired. The new building boosted total investment volume to about 170 million euros. “With our previous achievements and our acquisition pipeline, we are extremely confident that we will hit the investment volume target for 2017 and 2018 of 300 million euros much sooner than planned, this year even,” says Mähren.


MÄHREN AG is an owner-managed housing company based in Berlin. The company was founded by CEO Jakob Mähren in 2002. As a long-term oriented portfolio holder, MÄHREN AG buys mainly residential properties throughout Germany with a focus on the Berlin metropolitan region, the Rhine-Ruhr region, Eastern German medium-sized centers and Northern Germany. In the past three years, the company closed deals worth more than a billion euros.
